This spinach alternative is very high in antioxidants and is said to have been used by James Cook to prevent scurvy among his crew. It is also high in fibre, supposedly has sedative properties and is believed to be effective in the prevention of ulcers.

Warrigal Greens should be blanched first to remove oxalic acid and then can be well as sautéd, stir-fried, with feta in a pie or quiche, or pickled and used as a condiment on anything.
